Privacy Policy &
Your Confidentiality

We take confidentiality and privacy seriously — not as a legal formality, but as a foundation of how we work with every church and leader we serve. What you share with us stays with us.

Last updated: April 2025

Every client engagement includes a strict NDA.

Before any strategic work begins, we execute a mutual non-disclosure agreement. Your church's name, attendance data, giving trends, financial information, internal challenges, and strategic plans are never disclosed to anyone — not other clients, not case studies, not the public.

Information You Provide Directly

When you contact us, book a consultation, or engage our services, we collect information you provide directly. This may include:

  • Your name, title, and church or organization name
  • Contact information including email address and phone number
  • Information shared in intake forms, assessments, or strategy questionnaires
  • Communications sent via email or our website contact form
  • Payment information processed through our secure billing partners

Information From Your Engagement

As part of our consulting and coaching work, you may share operational data about your church or organization. This can include attendance figures, generosity metrics, communications performance data, and internal ministry information. All of this falls under strict confidentiality protocols described below.

Website Usage Information

Like most websites, we may collect standard analytics data including pages visited, time on site, referring sources, and device type. This data is aggregated and anonymized — it is not connected to your identity and is used only to improve our website experience.

We use the information we collect only for the purposes you would reasonably expect:

  • To respond to your inquiries and schedule consultations
  • To deliver the services you have engaged us for
  • To communicate about your engagement, next steps, or deliverables
  • To process payments and send billing-related communications
  • To send periodic updates or resources you have opted in to receive
  • To improve our website and service offerings based on aggregate data

We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent your contact information. We do not share your information with third parties for their marketing purposes.

Our Commitment

Any substantive information shared during a client engagement — including your church's name in connection with any strategic work, financial data, ministry challenges, or attendance information — is treated as confidential under the terms of our mutual NDA. This is not limited-use data. It is protected information.

Mutual Non-Disclosure Agreement

Every client engagement begins with the execution of a mutual Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). This agreement is binding, comprehensive, and covers all information exchanged during our working relationship. We take this seriously — it is not a formality.

What Is Covered

Under our standard NDA, the following categories of information are protected and will never be disclosed to any third party:

  • Your church's name in connection with any consulting or coaching engagement
  • Internal ministry challenges, leadership dynamics, or organizational issues discussed during engagements
  • Strategic plans, goals, or initiatives shared with us
  • Communications audit findings, metrics, or performance data
  • Attendance, membership, or demographic data
  • Any proprietary processes, systems, or internal documents you share

Giving & Financial Information

Special Protection

We treat giving data, donor information, and financial metrics with the highest degree of protection. Generosity is deeply personal. Financial information about your church — including giving trends, per-capita giving, campaign results, or donor cultivation strategies — is never referenced externally, never used in case studies, and never discussed with other clients or the public. Period.

No Public Case Studies Without Consent

We do not publish case studies, testimonials, or results tied to your church without your explicit written consent. Even when a church chooses to share a public testimonial, we review and approve all language together before anything appears publicly.

Internal Handling

Any contractors or team members involved in your engagement are bound by the same confidentiality obligations. Access to your information is limited to those directly supporting your work.

Service Communications

If you are a current client, we will communicate with you regarding your engagement, deliverables, scheduling, and billing. These communications are necessary to deliver your services and are not marketing messages.

Optional Updates

If you subscribe to receive resources, newsletters, or periodic updates from The Generosity Culture, you will only receive content you opted in to. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link included in every email.

No Unsolicited Outreach

We do not send cold outreach emails. We do not add your contact information to distribution lists without your consent. If you filled out a contact form expressing interest, we may follow up once in response to your inquiry — and only that.

Website Analytics

Our website may use standard analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) to understand aggregate website traffic — how many visitors come to the site, which pages perform well, and where visitors come from. This data is anonymized and does not identify you as an individual.

Cookies

Like most websites, we may use cookies to improve your experience and remember preferences. You may disable cookies in your browser settings; this will not affect your ability to access our website or its content, though some functionality may be limited.

HubSpot

Our website is hosted on HubSpot, which may set cookies to support form submissions, page visits, and general site performance. HubSpot's privacy practices are governed by their own privacy policy, available at hubspot.com/legal/privacy-policy.

We use a small number of trusted third-party tools to operate our business. These may include:

  • HubSpot — website hosting, forms, and CRM
  • Stripe or similar — secure payment processing
  • Zoom / Google Meet — video calls for client sessions
  • Google Analytics — anonymized website usage data

Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data. We do not share your personally identifiable information with these services beyond what is necessary to deliver the service (e.g., an email address to send a calendar invite).

We do not integrate with, sell to, or share data with any data brokers, ad networks, or marketing platforms.

How We Protect Your Information

We take reasonable measures to protect the information you share with us. This includes encrypted file storage, access controls limiting who can view client materials, and secure communication practices.

All payment processing is handled by PCI-compliant third parties. We do not store credit card numbers or sensitive payment data on our systems.

Retention

We retain client information for as long as necessary to deliver our services and meet reasonable record-keeping obligations. When information is no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymized.

No System Is Perfect

While we take security seriously, no digital system can guarantee perfect protection. If you have concerns about sharing sensitive information, please speak with us directly — we are happy to discuss secure alternatives for exchanging materials.

Access & Updates

You may request to review, update, or delete personal information we hold about you. We will respond to reasonable requests promptly. To make a request, contact us at the address below.

Opting Out

You may opt out of non-essential communications at any time. You may request that your information be removed from our systems following the conclusion of your engagement.

Policy Updates

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted with an updated date at the top of this page. Continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
